Leadership Coaching

What is leadership coaching?

Think of a tennis coach, or of any other sports for that matter. Leadership coaching is similar, but applies to a whole other area, you guessed it.

Its objective is to assist you in developing your talents and skills as a leader, expert and/or manager. It aims to propel you forward, to make you an athlete in your professional field.

Coaching is a privileged and proven approach to professional and personal development. The benefits of management coaching, in particular, are reflected through significant improvements in areas such as   :

  • Decision making
  • Strategic thinking
  • Strategic communications and influence
  • Executive presence
  • How to inspire trust
  • Team performance

Frequent meetings help you crystallize your goals, determine your success measures, learn and practice, report progress, and design the actions you need to become the leader you dream of.

How does coaching differ from traditional training programs?

  • It is a tailor-made program to meet the your specific needs and objectives, rather than a predetermined and rigid curriculum;
  • It creates a unique and safe space for reflection and exchange (when was the last time you had really stop and think?);
  • It familiarizes you with the latest managerial approaches;
  • It offers you the opportunity to create an action plan of your own, focusing on your specific strengths rather than on a generic approach;
  • Coaching pushes you to action, practicing not only during coaching sessions, but literally everyday, as part of your workday.

What are the different types of coaching?

Individual Coaching

Individual coaching sessions have typically a duration of one to two hours, and occur generally at a frequency of once a week or two weeks, as needed, for a usual period of six months.

Whether you are anywhere in the world, whether you speak French or English, today’s technology allows us to connect and work together to achieve your goals. If you are located in Montreal, then we will also have the option to meet in person on a regular basis.

I remain available between sessions to provide additional support if needed.

Team Coaching

It is often assumed that it is sufficient to gather a few well-meaning people to work effectively together. However, research shows that less than 12% of the work teams evaluate themselves as being highly efficient.

If you had an asset that underperformed 88% of the time, would you not do something about it?

Team coaching is an advantageous transformation program that you should consider. Participating teams generally report an improvement of 20% after six to eight months.

Certified Team Performance Coach by Team Coaching International (TCI), I assist management teams.

The program developed by TCI is based on management research. Since 2005 it has been used by thousands of teams around the world. It is supported by a scientifically validated diagnostic test of 14 performance parameters, as shown below.

It aims to strengthen the team’s productivity and positivity in order to make the team as efficient as possible in achieving its objectives.

Group Coaching

Group coaching helps develop the management and leadership skills of a group of people with common interests. They can work in different work teams, or even various companies.

(Team Coaching, for its part, is for a group of people who work together to achieve common results. Its goal is to develop the team performance.)

Optimizing collective talents through group coaching is taking advantage of the diversity of experiences and skills of the people gathered together. This speeds up the acquisition of knowledge and the development of new skills while compressing costs.

Topics covered may include, for example:

  • Decision making
  • Planning and execution of the strategy
  • Strategic communications and influence
  • Customer relationship management
  • Project management
  • Supervision and mobilization of a team
  • Act as a manager-coach
  • etc.

Group coaching sessions differ from traditional training workshops.

I will contribute tools and best practices in the field, according to the chosen themes. However, the majority of the sessions will be facilitated in such a way as to encourage exchanges between the participants, to raise awareness, and to create concrete action plans.
